2025 Refined Perspectives: A Year in Focus

For 2025, my guiding word is health.

Choosing productive as my word for 2024 was truly transformative. It shifted my mindset in ways I couldn’t have anticipated, helping me find joy in small, tangible achievements and instilling habits that now feel second nature. However, reflecting on the past year, I recognize that this focus on productivity often came at the expense of my own health—both physically and mentally. In my eagerness to fill every moment with purpose, I sometimes overlooked the importance of rest, nourishment, and balance. For 2025, my intention is to retain those productive habits that brought structure and clarity to my days, while shifting the focus to prioritize my overall health.

As I look back on the demands of motherhood, business ownership, and simply existing in a fast-paced world, it has become increasingly clear that health—both physical and mental—must take center stage. Not just the kind of health measured in steps walked or meals prepped, but a holistic view that encompasses body, mind, relationships, and environment.

Health means honoring my body as a vessel that has carried and nurtured two children. It means making time for movement, not as punishment or obligation, but as an act of gratitude for what my body is capable of. It means nourishing myself with food that feels abundant, not restrictive, and ensuring I have the energy to show up as my best self for the people and projects I care most about.

But it’s more than that. It’s about tending to my mental and emotional health with the same care. Choosing to set boundaries to protect my peace, carving out time for practices that ground me, and giving myself permission to rest—truly rest—without guilt. It’s about nurturing relationships that pour into me, letting go of those that drain, and fostering a sense of connection in the spaces I inhabit, both personally and professionally.

Health extends to my surroundings, too. This year, I want to create an environment that feels calming, uplifting, and conducive to wellness—whether it’s taking better care of my home or ensuring that the products I use align with my values. I’ve always believed in the idea of a home as a sanctuary, and this year I want to deepen that belief by making health a priority in the spaces I design for myself and my family.

Choosing health as my word for the year feels like a return to basics but also a meaningful progression. It’s a reminder that, at its core, health is a foundation for everything else—productivity, joy, and purpose. My hope for 2025 is that by prioritizing health in all its forms, I’ll create space for more energy, clarity, and fulfillment in the year ahead. Here’s to a year of living well and wholeheartedly.
